CSK owned franchise in Major League Cricket to be called ‘Texas Super Kings’

Talking about the six-team league, the tournament will be played in single round-robin format from July 13 to 30.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have bought a team based in Texas in the inaugural Major League Cricket. The CSK owned franchise has also unveiled its name ahead of the inaugural edition. The Texas-based CSK team will be called Texas Super Kings, the franchise shared via social media.

 

The MLC franchise is also expected to feature some of the retired cricketers. The Texas based franchise on Monday announced their first pick drafts which included six cricketers.

 

MLC Player Draft 2023 Picks for Texas Super Kings:
Rusty Theron, Calvin Savage, Lahiru Milantha, Milind Kumar, Sami Aslam, Cameron Stevenson, Cody Chetty, Zia Shahzad, Saiteja Mukkamalla


Talking about the six-team league, the tournament will be played in single round-robin format from July 13 to 30. US San Francisco Unicorns, Los Angeles (KKR), Mumbai Indians New York, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings and Washington DC (Delhi Capital) are the six franchises in the upcoming tournament.
