The Men in Blue will be entering the ODI World Cup 2023 semifinals on the back of nine wins on the trot, going unbeaten so far in the tournament. With just a few hours left before they take on fourth-placed New Zealand in the first semifinal of the CWC 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Virat Kohli was seen hitting in the nets.

In what is a do-or-die clash for both the teams and having a past history, the Rohit Sharma-led side was seen toiling hard in the nets. But in one of the instances doing rounds on social media ahead of India versus Netherlands in Bengaluru, Indian opener Shubman Gill was spotted doing jumping kicks to warm-up ahead of net session. Just at this moment, Virat who was going for some batting session was left startled as Gill approached with his jumping kicks. However, the two burst into a laugh as usual, sharing a camaraderie well known.

Just as the two left resumed their routine, Virat even threatened to jokingly hit Gill with his bat. Video of this hilarious instance is now doing rounds on social media.
The Men in Blue were notably the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the CWC 2023 and firm their place at the top of the standings with 18 points, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are the other three sides to play the semifinals. While the Men in Blue will take on Kiwis on November 15, South Africa will take on Australia at the Eden Gardens on November 16 and the winner of the two semifinals will face off for the ultimate title on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
