After back-to-back medals on Day 2 in weightlifting, India's Jeremy Lalrinnunga continued the rich legacy as he successfully lifted 154kg, 160kg, in 1st, and 2nd but failed in his 3rd attempt due to an injury. However, Jeremy’s valiant effort secured yet another gold in CWG 2022. Despite gaining minor injury, Jeremy remained in the game and successfully completed his second attempt in C&J category.

Earlier, he lifted 136kg (1st attempt), 140kg (2nd attempt) and (3rd attempt) in 'Snatch' category and nailed his first attempt with 136kg in 'Snatch' Men's All-Around Gymnastics Final. The fans had to wait a bit longer to see Jeremy in action as he started with 136kg (heavier that anyone else).

Earlier, top-medal contender Nigeria's Edidiong failed on his first and second attempt to lift 130kg in 'Snatch' category', but surprised everyone in the third attempt as he successfully lifted the weight. Although, he received two green lights and one red on his 3rd attempt, but close review ruled his attempt.. After conclusion of 'Snatch' category, India's Jeremy Lalrinnunga tops the ladder with the best figures of 140kg.
