Dhanashree Verma, the estranged wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, shared a cryptic post on her official Instagram account, and it read, “Blaming women is always in fashion”. The social media post from the choreographer came just a day after Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted watching the Indian cricket team play in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final at the Dubai International Stadium against New Zealand alongside Mahvash, who also goes by RJ Mahvash.
Notably, a report had gone viral from Hindustan Times wherein the lawyer of Yuzvendra Chahal, namely Nitin K Gupta, stated that he filed the divorce petition on behalf of his client with mutual consent before presenting it before a court in Bandra, Mumbai. He was quoted as saying, “Mr. Chahal reached a settlement for obtaining Divorce by Mutual Consent with Mrs. Verma. A Petition for Divorce by mutual consent was presented before the Hon’ble Family Court, Bandra. The matter is currently sub-judice.”
Dhanashree Verma hits back at trolls for questioning her integrity recently
Prior to Dhanashree Verma sending out her latest Instagram story, she was heavily trolled for getting clicked with fellow choreographer Pratik Utekar, which had sparked rumours about a romantic relationship between them despite her marriage to Yuzvendra Chahal. In the viral photo, which was from the finale party of the reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 11, she was being hugged by Pratik Utekar.
Sometime later, Dhanashree Verma went after the trolls with a detailed statement, which read, “I have never in my life been affected by trolls or memes because had a lot of maturity in ignoring or laughing it out loud until this very recent troll occurred. The reason it has affected me this time is because it has affected my family and my near and dear ones.”
“Since you all have the freedom on social media platforms to speak your heart and characters out, that you tend to forget or choose to ignore the sentiments of us and our families. This led to the decision of me taking a detox from social media and trust me, it was very peaceful,” she added. Moreover, there is no official confirmation from either Dhanashree Verma or Yuzvendra Chahal about their rumoured divorce.
