Recently, a video went viral on social media where Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma was denied entry at the Lords Cricket while India and England were taking on each other during the third Test at the ground from July 10 to 14. In a video, it was shown that the IPL 2025 champion stopped by the security personnel while he was entering the ground and refused to let him in.

Later, Jitesh Sharma seeked Dinesh Karhik’s help, who is mentor of RCB and was finally able to get an entry inside the stadium. However, as soon as the video went viral, Karthik came up with an explanation on social media revealing that he himself invited the RCB batter inside the commentary box. Further, Karthik also revealed that Jitesh was standing below the media center and not outside the stadium.

“These are some issues with social media that a lot face. I invited jitesh to the comm box , he had come , and I came and met him down and took him to the comm box and he met everyone there. Btw this is below the media center , not the entrance to the ground,” Karthik wrote on his X post.

Nice to see Jitesh after a while: Dinesh Karthik

A day after India’s defeat at Lords on July 14, Dinesh Karthik also reshared a post on X featuring him and Jitesh Sharma outside the Lords Cricket Ground. An X user named Rahul Warrier shared a picture of both of them with a caption “RCB, Jitesh and DK chants were full on today in Lords. All I can say: the craze for RCB is real. The brand of RCB is enormous. Of course, I too wore my RCB kit to the game,”

While resharing the post, Karthik wrote “Nice to see JITESH after a while . Good you clicked a picture. We completely forgot.” Notably, Jitesh was a member of the RCB squad that ended up winning their maiden IPL title on June 3 this year. Jitesh played a crucial role in RCB’s triumph amassing 261 runs from 15 matches at a strike rate of 176.35. On the other hand, Karthik, who was appointed as RCB mentor ahead of the season also played a crucial role off the field as the franchise won it’s maiden IPL title after 18 years.
