The first semifinal of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is all set to be played on Thursday and it can’t get better with two of the biggest on-field rivals- India and Australia taking on each other. While Harmanpreet Kaur-led India put on decent performances on their way to the semifinal, Australia rushed through all of their opponents to end the group stage on a high.

Now, the two teams will be up against each other at Newlands in Cape Town. India will be under immense pressure as the mighty Aussies are flying high. Amid all this build-up to the big contest, food-delivery giant Zomato made a special request to the fans on social media. The company shared a special post wherein they shared how different the scenario would be if the men’s teams from both nations would be playing a semifinal against each other.

“If it was India vs Australia men’s T20 World Cup semifinal tonight our tech team would be preparing for an increase in orders. But it’s women’s T20 World Cup semifinal tonight and our team is not expecting a major increase,” wrote Zomato in its post. The admin of the company’s Twitter handle then requested fans to watch the game even if they don’t order anything from Zomato.

Talking about India’s position before the big game, the Women in Blue look in a bit of trouble with pacer Pooja Vastrakar ruled out of the contest. However, it has opened the doors for including Sneh Rana in the playing XI which can come in handy for India. Meanwhile, Australia’s lineup will be bolstered with the return of Alyssa Healy who missed Australia’s last group game.

Notably, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. They have included a "fully fit" Alyssa Healy in the squad. For India, captain Harmanpreet Kaur is playing while Sneh Rana has taken Pooja Vastrakar's place. The second change is Yastika Bhatia coming in for Rajeshwari Gayakwad.
