India pacer Navdeep Saini's seven-year-old post has surfaced on social media where the bowler had commented that he didn't want to become S Sreesanth. Notably, it was on June 4, 2013 when Saini had posted a picture of his on Facebook with a trophy in his hand. The picture contained the caption, "Born to win." After reading the post, one of Saini's friends on the social media platform had commented, "Junior Shreesanth (sic)." To this, the lanky Haryana pacer had replied, "ooooo bhai mujhe nahi bnna Shreesanth, mujhe to breet lee bnna hai (sic)."

Here is the post and the comments:

The rise of Naveep Saini

Saini comes from a middle-class Sikh family from the Karnal district of Haryana. Till 2012, the pacer had played just tennis ball cricket but the following year saw his life taking a big turn. The bowler, who was famous for his local heroics, soon became the talk of the town after impressing one of India's finest openers, Gautam Gambhir. If not all then at least every cricket fan is well versed with the story where the lanky pacer bowled with the red cherry in nets for the very first time and had beaten Gambhir with his pace not for once or twice but for countless times in the session. What followed is an inspiration to many. The shy boy soon hogged the limelight after getting roped in into the Delhi squad and it was none other than Gambhir who backed him, even if it required a tussle with the DDCA selectors. So far, Saini has played 2 Tests, 7 ODIs and 10 T20Is for India, apart from playing 26 IPL games.
