Manchester City is one club that could be at the brink of a rebuild in the upcoming summer as some important players are set to leave the club. While Kevin de Bruyne’s departure from the club has been confirmed officially, it is now being reported that City might also look to offload their first-choice goalie Ederson. Having moved to Manchester in 2017 from Benfica, Ederson has been an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s team, having grown immensely in his role at the club and was also part of the treble-winning side.

While Ederson has not had a poor outing as such in recent times, the club might just be looking to move on from him and bring a fresh face to the scene. One name that is being thrown around is that of Atletico Madrid’s long-time shot stopper Jan Oblak. Guardiola seems to be a big admirer of Slovenian keeper, and might look to bring him to City in the following season. As for Ederson, multiple Saudi Pro League clubs have been long interested in signing the Brazilian and we might see him go to the middle-east soon. There have also been reports that Porto is looking at Ederson to replace Diogo Costa.

City progresses to FA Cup final after beating Nottingham Forest

Manchester City have provided a much-needed boost to their season by defeating Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-finals on April 27 and progressing to the final. In what has been a rather underwhelming league run and European season, City now have a chance to win some silverware before the end of the current season.

Talking about the match, City struck early with a goal from young Rico Lewis scoring in the second minute itself. They dominated most of the first half but were unlucky in front of the goal. They finally got the prize of their efforts when Josko Gvardiol netted the second goal in the 51st minute with a clean header and sealed the game for his team.
