The ongoing T20 World Cup has now seen the first few glimpses of all the sides in Super 12 and everyone has already started predicting the possible teams which could lift the trophy on November 14. In the lead up to the start of tournament, India and West Indies were being termed as strong favourites by cricket experts across the globe. However, things did not really go according to plan for both the sides, which have won the title in past.

While star-studded Indian side lost to Pakistan, defending champion West Indies have faced back-to-back defeats at the hands of England and South Africa respectively. On the other hand, England have been one of the sides which has impressed everyone in UAE so far. After defeating WI by 6 wickets in first match, Eoin Morgan's side produced a dominating performance against Bangladesh on Wednesday.

England literally outplayed their opposition in all departments as they restricted them to a below-par total of 124/9 in 20 overs in Abu Dhabi. In reply, the batters had a walk in the park as they hunted down the target quite comfortably in 14.1 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

Jaffer-Vaughan social media banter begins once again

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer looked quite impressed with England's clinical win as he termed them as a strong side. The 43-year-old also tagged Michael Vaughan in his tweet while putting a question in front of him stating, "England favourites to win the cup?"

He might have done it intentionally to draw a response from former England captain, whose predictions often go wrong. However, Vaughan did not fall in the trap as he continued the banter claiming Pakistan as favourites, reflecting on the fact that they hammered outright favourites India in their first match.

Check out the exchange between Jaffer and Vaughan:

England and Pakistan look a class above rest of teams: Vaughan

However, in another tweet, Michael Vaughan did admit that England and Pakistan will take some stopping in the tournament. He stated, "England & Pakistan so far look a class above the Rest in this #T20WorldCup2021 !! Early days but they will be both take some stopping." Notably, both the sides have 2 wins in 2 matches and are sitting at top of their respective groups in Super 12.
