Manchester City striker Erling Haaland did not take much time to make a mark in the English league as he scored a brace on his Premier League debut. However, the Norwegian striker accidentally cursed twice live on television in a post game interview that left everyone in splits.

Defending champions Manchester City opened their Premier League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday. Although Halland scored a brace, the 22-year-old striker was unhappy as he missed an easy chance to score a hattrick on his PL debut.

The Norwegian told Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves, who asked about the missed chance, "It's a bit shit, but that's how it is." Shreeves told Haaland, "Steady with the language." The footballer apologized by mistakenly cursing again and both of them burst into laughter while Haaland said, "It's not good language in this country."

Haaland joined manager Pep Guardiola's side this summer from German club Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 86 goals in 89 matches across the three seasons.

Following his performance, City coach Guardiola draw a comparison between Haaland and Lionel Messi. Pep said, "I was fortunate as manager to be with Messi and when he scored two, he wanted three, and when scored three he wants four. The top goalscorers are never satisfied; they are always hungry and starving and want more."
