Everton have confirmed the signing of Manchester City winger Jack Grealish on a season-long loan deal, adding depth to their squad for the 2024-25 campaign after a tough last season. The 29-year-old spoke about how his conversation with Everton manager David Moyes helped him make his mind up in regard to choosing them as his new destination in the critical stage of his career.

Notably, Jack Grealish is the sixth signing of the ongoing summer transfer window after the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, and Adam Aznou. The Englishman will make his way to the newly built Hill Dickinson Stadium of Everton, wanting to not only showcase how good he is, but also put himself in the best possible position to make the FIFA World Cup squad next year.

I want to say thank you to the fans for all of the messages I've had already: Jack Grealish

In his first comments after joining Everton, Jack Grealish sounded quite happy, talking about how the club supporters have welcomed him with open arms on social media just before the move was finalised. He was quoted as saying on the club website, “I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton - it's massive for me, honestly. This is a great club, with great fans.”

“As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew there was only one place that I wanted to go. On social media, I've been flooded with messages from Everton supporters, so there's that side of it as well and that's another reason why I chose Everton. I want to say thank you to the fans for all of the messages I've had already. Thank you for all of the love and support. I hope I can repay you now and I'm sure I will,” Jack Grealish further said after becoming the player of Everton, one of the biggest clubs in England.

It is highly likely that Jack Grealish will make his first appearance for Everton in the Premier League against Leeds United in the season opener on Monday, August 18, at Elland Road.
