Formula One Driver Sebastian Vettel has opened up on his extraordinary move from Ferrari for the upcoming 2021 season. The 33-year-old spoke highly of his new team, Aston Martin during the unveiling of their new car on Wednesday.

Former Ferrari driver praises team at Aston Martin

Four-time World Champion Vettel, who had a disappointing outing in last two seasons, looked very confident ahead of the new season. Talking about his new team, he said, “The team is still growing and things are different here.”

The stylish F1 driver also took a sly dig at his former employers Ferrari while praising the team at Aston Martin. “It is not about the fancy looks or the expensive, designer chairs in the office but more about the work done behind the scenes and from what I have seen the people are very capable and very talented,” said Sebastian.

I have another World Championship in me: Vettel

The 33-year-old has had an illustrious career in Formula One. He won 4 consecutive F1 Championships between 2010 to 2013 with Red Bull. Although he came close to winning titles in 2017 and 2018, Vettel looked far from best in the last two seasons.

Reflecting on the worst season of his career in 2020 (where he finished P13), Vettel said, “It’s not a secret that at stages last year I was not at my happiest, I know it wasn’t to my standards but I am very much at peace with it. This year I am very much looking forwards.”

With Ferrari announcing the signing of Carlos Sainz for 2021, the fans thought that it could be the end of Vettel’s time at F1. However, the German had different plans as he remarkably signed for Aston Martin.

Talking about his chances of winning a fifth title, Vettel said, “I think I have another World Championship in me. It has been in me before and it was a big relief winning the first one and knowing you can do it. Since then, I don’t see why it is not there any more. I am not too old and I still have a long time in me.”

Aston Martin, which is making a comeback to F1 after a gap of 61 years, will certainly be hopeful that Sebastian Vettel can produce a heroic season to win the World Championship in 2021.
