After some inconsistent display from the Sunrisers Hyderabad top-order, wicketkeeper-batter Henrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad steadied the innings for the host. While Klaasen added 47 runs off 29 deliveries during his innings, Abdul Samad continues to play a role with his unbeaten 30.

However, a lot of chaos and confusion was seen during the third ball of the ninth over. Avesh Khan went for a full toss beamer which was at Samad’s elbow  level,  and the umpie was quick to call for a no-ball. But the visitors went for a review here and the decision was overturned to a fair delivery later by the third umpire. The third umpire was called saying that the batter (Abdul Samad) crouched a bit.

This decision not only left the on-field batters Henrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad disappointed but even the fans took to social media to call it a war of words. While some called it “brainless umpiring”, a few others called to scrap this rule of taking a DRS on such balls.
