Afghanistan took on Uganda in their Group C match at the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The Rashid Khan-led side dominated their opponents in the majority of the match and eventually registered a comprehensive 125-run victory to go the top of their Group C standings.

After being invited to bat first, Afghanistan’s opening pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran gave a great start, adding over 120-runs. But the bowlers stole the show for the Afghans with Fazalhaq Farooqi registering his career best figures. The left-arm pacer finished with the 5/9 in their recently concluded match against Uganda, becoming the first bowler to pick a five-wicket haul at the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
