During FC Barcelona’s recent victory against Real Madrid on May 11, at Montjuic Stadium, the jersey donned by the Blaugrana players caught the attention of fans worldwide. For the latest El Clasico, FC Barcelona unveiled a striking special edition jersey in collaboration with global music icon Travis Scott, blending the worlds of football and hip-hop. The centrepiece of the jersey is the 'Cactus Jack' logo, representing Scott’s brand, boldly positioned beneath the club crest. The logo, known for its rugged, handwritten style, adds a rebellious and creative flair to the kit; perfectly complementing the high-stakes, emotionally charged nature of El Clasico.
This isn’t the first time Barcelona has partnered with major artists or brands for special edition kits. In recent years, the club has collaborated with Spotify, its main sponsor, to feature artists' logos in marquee matches. Notably, the Rolling Stones' iconic tongue-and-lips logo appeared on the front of the jersey for a 2023 El Clasico, and earlier that same year, Rosalia’s 'Motomami' album artwork graced the shirt in another high-profile game.
Barcelona script epic come-back to secure fourth El Clasico victory of 2024-25 season
Talking about the match, Barcelona scripted another epic comeback victory against arch-rivals Real Madrid, making it four wins in all four El Clasicos played this season. Real Madrid scored two quick goals through Kylian Mbappe including a penalty in the fifth minute, but Barcelona showed absolute resilience to fight and get back into the game. The comeback started with Eric Garcia’s headed goal from a corner kick and then a spectacular curling strike from Lamine Yamal got Barca level on the scoreline.
A quick-brace from Raphinha within the first half itself saw the game shift completely and turn in favour of Barcelona as they led 4-2 at half-time. A dominant display in the second half coupled by some smart substitutions from Hansi Flick ensured that Barca came out victorious with a 4-3 scoreline. The victory seems to have decided the fate of the La Liga title race as well because Barcelona are now seven points above Real Madrid at the top of the table with only three games remaining.
