Jose Mourinho, the Fenerbahce manager, is reportedly interested in signing winger Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the ongoing summer transfer window after the Red Devils told the player to find himself a new club. It is understood that the Turkish club is currently in talks with England international Marcus Rashford’s agent, to work out a potential deal for one of the biggest stars in world football.

In the ongoing summer transfer window, Fenerbahce have managed to sign the likes of Jhon Duran and Archie Brown, to bolster their squad considerably for the new season under their Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho. While the Turkish club have initiated talks, Marcus Rashford’s preferred destination away from his boyhood club is Barcelona in Spain.

Jose Mourinho has asked Fenerbahce officials to expedite the process to sign Marcus Rashford

As per the report published in T24 from Turkey, Jose Mourinho has asked the Fenerbahce officials to expedite the process to sign Marcus Rashford, who has now become the manager’s number one priority in the ongoing summer transfer window. It is important to note that since Marcus Rashford’s camp is in talks with Barcelona, the chances of Fenerbahce bringing in the England international to the fold might happen only if a deal doesn’t materialise for him with the Spanish giants.

Notably, after completing a loan deal with Aston Villa for the second half of the last season, Marcus Rashford made 41 appearances, in which he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists. His current contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, and there is a release clause worth €40 million, which can be triggered by either Barcelona or Fenerbahce to sign him in this transfer window.
