After sealing a deal with Lionel Messi's Argentina, India's dairy giant Amul has announced on Saturday, November 12 that it has become the official regional sponsor of the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal national team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.

Amul took to its official Twitter handle on Saturday to announce their association with the Portugal football team until the end of 2023. Amul wrote, "#AMUL, the leading dairy company in India, is now the new Regional Sponsor of the Portugal National Football team.  The Portuguese Football Federation and AMUL, have signed a Regional Sponsorship Agreement until the end of 2023."

By signing a deal with the Portuguese Football Federation, Amul has become the first Indian regional sponsor of the European side. On Tuesday, Amul posted another picture announcing their association with the Portugal national team and wrote, "#Amul Topical: Amul is the proud regional sponsor of the Portugal football team!"

After the deal was announced, Amul's Chief Operating Officer Jayen Mehta said, "Amul is proud to announce its association with the Portugal Football Federation. Football is a global sport and has a huge fan-following in India too. Sports and nutrition go hand in hand and through this association we encourage the football fans of India to take up physical fitness and nutrition for a healthy lifestyle."
