Preview:
France and Denmark get ready for a big-ticket fixture from Group D at the Ras Abu Aboud Stadium. The French team despite multiple injuries ran a riot against Australia and registered a 4-1 victory. Whereas the Danes were held to a 0-0 draw against Tunisia in their World Cup opener.
Team news:
France:
The Les Bleus will be without left-back Lucas Hernandez who suffered a major injury against Australia.
Denmark:
The Danes will be without midfielder Thomas Delaney, who suffered a knee injury against Tunisia.
Analysis:
Unlike other World Cup winners, France has so far managed to fend away the Champions Curse, despite multiple injuries to star players. They went 1-0 down against Australia but managed to come back with a bang and nail four straight goals. PSG forward Kylian Mbappe would be their key offensive weapon with support from veteran striker Olivier Giroud. Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has also been a key player for Les Bleus.
Unlike France, Denmark hasn’t had a great start to their World Cup campaign after a 0-0 draw against Tunisia. The Danes look solid throughout the fixture but their forwards weren’t up to the mark and failed to put away major chances. But Denmark since last year’s Euros has transformed into a dominant team which can go deep in major tournaments.
