The ongoing game between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid is the biggest game of the LaLiga this season for many reasons. Not just the title is at stake for both clubs, all eyes were on the return of Luis Suarez to Camp Nou with Atletico Madrid after a bitter exit from Barcelona.
Notably, Suarez departed Barca after a fall out with now-former Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu. The Uruguayan departed as the third-highest scorer for the club with 198 goals, behind Cesar Rodriguez (232) and Messi (670).
Suarez missed the first meeting of the teams in November due to the Coronavirus. Atletico Madrid registered a 1-0 win in the home leg to build an early lead in the 2020-21 La Liga standings.
Messi welcomes Suarez with a hug
Those who have been following football and Barca for a while knows the relationship between Messi and Suarez. The two strikers shared a close bond off the field and were neighbours in the Barcelona neighbourhood of Castelldefels and their children went to the same school. When Suarez was sold to Atletico Madrid, Messi was the first player to criticise his own club publically on social media.
However, it seems the relationship between the two strikers is still intact despite going opposite ways as the Barca forward welcomed his former partner with a warm hug. Messi and Suarez were seen sharing a hug before the game and it surely melted football fans' hearts.

A title decider game
The top 4 teams are still in contention for the LaLiga title and the game can prove to be the title decider. Atletico is two points ahead of both Madrid and Barcelona, while Sevilla is a further four points behind. If the match produces a winner, that team will go to the top of the table. On the other hand, a draw could be enough for Atletico but fatal for Barca.
