The Australian veteran is deeply looking forward to the upcoming Ashes 2025-26, which is scheduled to take place from early November onwards down under. The five-match series will form part of the 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship. Joe Root and Harry Brook are the English players to watch out in this tournament: Glenn McGrath
Glenn McGrath, in an interview with BBC 5 Live, stated that he feels like Australia always have the upperhand against the England cricket team and will convincingly clean sweep the Test series 5-0. The Australian’s confidence is backed by a fact that the England cricket team have not emerged victorious in a single Test since the year 2011-12 in their backyard. McGrath also expressed his views on the England squad and stated that Joe Root and Harry Brook will be the players to watch out for in this tournament.
Speaking about the current Australian cricket team, McGrath stated, "I'm very confident with our team. When you've got Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon firing in their home conditions, it's going to be pretty tough. Plus, that track record England have had, it'd be interesting to see if they can win a Test." The hype for the Ashes has already skyrocketed and it will be interesting to see if Australia continue to dominate the series or will England write a new chapter in the history books.
