Gujarat Titans won IPL 2022 because they played brilliant cricket throughout the tournament. The standout point about the Hardik Pandya-led team was different players stepped up on different occasions. While David Miller played a gem of an innings in Qualifier 1, Hardik Pandya led from the front in the summit clash. The likes of Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, and Rahul Tewatia also chipped in with handy performances. But as it’s said, there is always room for improvement and GT management has done the same.

Gujarat traded Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz with Kolkata Knight Riders. They also released the likes of Jason Roy, Dominic Drakes, Varun Aaron, and Gurkeerat Singh. After letting go of as many as six players, GT now has around 19 Crore with them ahead of the mini auction. The management needs to fill the seven empty slots with the purse available. Gujarat will look for Ferguson’s replacement while a few backups for the likes of Shami.
