With the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 resuming on Saturday, May 17 in Bengaluru, a total of six teams are still fighting for a spot in the final four. While Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are close to confirming their spots, GT will play Delhi Capitals (DC) in their first fixture on resumption.

However, this will be their final away game in the ongoing edition, the Shubman Gill-led side will return home for the final two matches of the league stage. Although, they will walk out in confidence when they step out at their home ground when they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 22, they have also called for a special initiative.

GT to wear lavender jersey for IPL 2025 match against LSG on May 22

As they return home, the Gujarat-based franchise have confirmed of donning a special lavender jersey. "Strength isn't just in the game, it's for standing in for a cause Join us on 22nd May as our Titans don the lavender jersey to support the fight against cancer!," GT captioned a post on their official X handle.

It is to be noted that this will be the third instance that GT will don the lavender jersey in IPL. The initiative, which started in 2023, highlights their efforts to raise awareness in the fight against cancer.

Speaking of the franchise, GT are currently placed second in the IPL 2025 points table, having won eight of their 11 matches thus far. With eight victorious in the league stage, they have amassed 16 points to their name. They will hope to get wins in their remaining matches to seal the top of the table spot.
