The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is just nine days away from the start and all franchises have begun their regirous practice ahead of the 16 th  edition of the tournament. The five-time champions Mumbai Indians will try to forget their dismal outing from IPL 2022 and aim to get back their mojo from the other previous seasons.

In a race to seek redemption, former Mumbai Indians and Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has shared a piece of advice for the franchise. While the side will now miss the services of power-hitter Kieron Pollard, who announced retirement from IPL after the 2022 edition and Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh believes that the Australian duo of Cameron Green and Tim David can replicate the ex-players’ performance in the new-looking MI squad.

Bhajji also believes if the Australian pair is able to do that, then the record sixth title is not far for Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians.

“Well, they will be successful if Tim David can do the same thing that Pollard was doing and whether Green can do what Hardik was doing. But yes, they do have the potential, but IPL is such a tournament that if you start to get going from day one, you will have a good season. If you don’t get going, and you have to find that rhythm, it gets very difficult,” said Harbhajan.

The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2023 campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 2.
