The Indian men's cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma left for Australia on Thursday morning for the upcoming T20 Wor ld Cup 2022, starting on October 16. Team India will look to forget their performance of T20 World Cup 2021 where they failed to qualify for the semi-finals and were knocked out from the league stage.
Riding high on back-to-back series win against Australia and South Africa, Team India will be among the favorites to lift the title considering their star-studded lineup. Although, Men in Blue will miss the quality services of top-seeded all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, the team management will heavily rely on its batting which comprises the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik and others. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh came up with an interesting response to one of the queries posted by ESPN, cricinfo on Twitter.
In one of its tweets, ESPN, cricinfo posted a situation where if 18-runs are required to score in the last over of the match which batter should be considered, listing Dinesh Karthik, Mathew Wade and David Miller as an option. Responding to it, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh stated 'Hardik Pandya' as his first-choice pick to finish things.
