Heinrich Klaasen has been one of the few bright spots for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, batting in the middle of the order. Although, for a player of his stature, Klaasen can be said to have underperformed, having scored only 311 runs in 10 innings so far. He has been averaging 34.56 at a strike-rate of 153.96 and has only scored one half-century against MI in the earlier phases of the season, when he helped his team reach a respectable total after an early collapse.
Against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL, Klaasen has scored 134 runs in five innings. While he is yet to score a century against them, Klaasen has scored one fifty against the Delhi franchise. He averages 33.50 but has an impressive strike-rate of 176.32 against DC. He has hit 16 total boundaries against DC and is yet to be dismissed for a duck against them.

DC vs SRH IPL 2025 preview
DC, under the captaincy of Axar Patel has had mixed results in the IPL 2025 season. With six wins and four losses in 10 games so far, DC are sitting at fifth position in the points table and still in strong contention for the playoff spots. Having lost their last two consecutive games, they will look to bounce back against SRH and boost their qualification chances.
SRH, on the other hand has had a rather forgettable 2025 IPL season. With seven losses and just three wins from 10 matches, SRH have been at the bottom of the table for most parts of the season. While their ‘go-hard or go-home’ approach worked miraculously in the opening match, a batting order collapse in almost every other match has handed them a lot of defeats. While they are almost out of the playoffs race, they will look to produce some good results at the end of the season and make life hard for other teams.
