Talking about the highest opening partnerships in IPL history, Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul top the list for their record-breaking partnership for Lucknow Super Giants in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on May 18, 2022. The duo batted for the entire 20 overs and ended up posting 210 runs without any loss in their 20 overs. De Kock smashed 140*(70) runs in that game while KL Rahul scored 68 runs off 51 balls.
Gujarat Titans opening pair of skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan registered the joint-highest opening partnership in IPL in a match against Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 10, 2024. Gill scored 104(55) runs while Sudharsan contributed with 103(51) runs as the duo put up a partnership of 210 runs in 17.2 as GT posted 231/3 in their 20 overs.
