UFC fighter Colby Covington made a controversial remark on former YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul ahead of his big fight against Mike Tyson. Paul is set to clash against legend Mike Tyson in a boxing match set to be broadcast live on Netflix. The fight is scheduled to be hosted on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and all Netflix subscribers will be able to view the event. The fight has drawn the attention of several fans and pundits across the globe, and they have raised concerns about the 58-year-old veteran.
While others can’t wait for Tyson to be back in action the fight doesn’t seem to interest Covington and he made some bold and controversial remarks about Paul’s boxing career. Appearing on an episode of ‘SOSCAST w/Adam Sosnick’, where the 36-year-old fighter said that all of Paul’s fights have been rigged.
‘Chaos’ said, “All of Jake Paul’s accomplishments have been rigged. They’ve set up the deck against him from the start.” Talking about Paul’s first fight against NBA player Nate Robinson, and claimed that he chose Robinson due to his smaller stature. Covington claimed, “Look, he fought the shortest guy in the NBA to start his career against Nate Robinson. He had like a 70-pound advantage, everybody was like pissed.”
Talking about Paul’s fight against Tyson, Covington said, “I hate the fight. I think it takes away from Mike Tyson’s legacy when a guy like this comes in and beats him. A YouTuber comes in and beats the baddest man on the planet. And the most feared man. Oh come on man, he is in his 20s. Mike still looks like a super human for 58 but he is still 58 years old. He should not be fighting anymore. I don’t think it is safe. I think it is dangerous. At that age, your heart might explode.”
