Team India's shocking elimination from the recently concluded T20 Asia Cup in United Arab of Emirates has raised lot of doubts over the abilities of world's number one T20I side in big tournaments. Despite studded with starry line-up, Men in Blue could not come better against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super-4 stage and was knocked out the Asia Cup 2022 after facing back-to-back defeats. Criticism over India's inability to win crucial game came from all quarters and many claimed that team needs to look at his approach before highly anticipated T20 World Cup in Australia.

The frequent changes in the playing XI were being regarded as one of the major concerns for Men in Blue as several players have led the side in various bilateral contests, lately. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid have been shuffling players in the playing XI as well citing litmus test for players before high-stake ICC tournament. Meanwhile, Aaron Finch-led side added more woes to India’s Asia Cup stint as the visitors registered incredible victory in the first of an ongoing three-match T20I series in Mohali.

In a fresh development, a renowned Indian sports journalist made an unprecedented comparison of Indian head coach Rahul Dravid with erstwhile coach Greg Chappel in his social media post. “I Hope Rahul Dravid doesn’t turn into another Greg Chappel for India…” read his tweet. Notably, former Australian Greg Chappell had quite a controversial stint with the Indian cricket team, sparking massive uproar amongst Indian cricketers. He stepped down as head coach in 2007 following India's humiliating exit at the ICC Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.

Speaking of Rahul Dravid, former Indian batter is highly respected fellow in Indian cricket fraternity and players have huge respect for his demeanor and for his unparalleled contribution to the Indian cricket. The weird comparison from the Indian journo drew lot of mixed reactions from the Indian cricket fans as many admitted the comparison to be 'harsh truth' while several users hit back at the sports journalist for putting out controversial post in order to gain fame.
