Despite brilliant performances in the domestic circuit, prolific top-order batter Prithvi Shaw has been once again overlooked from India's T20I and ODI squads. The All-India Senior Selection Committee announced India's squad for the upcoming tours to Bangladesh and News Zealand on Monday and Shaw failed to make the cut in any of the four teams announced.

While several players like Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sunday were added in the squad, Shaw failed to earn a call. The Mumbai batter appeared disappointed after being overlooked by the selectors as he shared an emotional Instagram story.

'Hope you are watching everything SAI BABA,' the youngster shared on his Instagram story.

Shaw's Insta story confirms the fact that he is not pleased with the way he is being treated by the Indian selectors and is currently feeling left back by constant exclusion from the squad.

While speaking at the virtual press conference, Chetan Sharma, Chairman of the selection committee confirmed that Prithvi will soon get a chance as selectors are in constant touch with him.

"He is going well. He is doing nothing wrong at all. The thing is that we have to see whether the guys who are playing are also getting their chances. He will definitely get his chance. Selectors are in constant touch with Prithvi. He will get his chances very soon," Chetan Sharma said.

The young batter has been consistently playing some magnificent knocks in the domestic circuit and also working out to shed extra kilos. Notably, Shaw failed the Yo-Yo test ahead of this year's Indian Premier League.

However, Shaw has showcased impressive form in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022. The Mumbai captain mustered 285 runs from seven games, including a century and a half-century, and has a fantastic average of 47.50 to his name.
