After completing a whitewash Sri Lanka in the recently concluded T20I series, the action now moves to Test cricket. It will be Rohit Sharma’s first assignment as Test skipper of the Indian side after Virat Kohli stepped down from the role. Notably, pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named as his deputy and will be donning the vice-captain hat for the two-match Test series.

The two-match Test series is set to kick off on March 4 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. It is to be noted that the first Test of the series will also be former skipper Virat Kohli’s 100th Test.
