
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) agreed to have Pakistan's name in front of their Men’s Cricket team for the 2025 Champions Trophy. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia denied all the rumours the board wanted to remove Pakistan’s name from front of their jersey for the upcoming event in the neighbouring country. Although India are scheduled to play all their Champions Trophy in Dubai, the BCCI confirmed that the Indian players will be donning jersey’s with Pakistan imprint beneath the logo, as they are the official hosts of the tournament.
The newly elected BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia claries that the Indian team and it cricket board will follow all the rules and regulations set by the ICC for the upcoming champions trophy. “BCCI's stand is loud and clear: whatever guidelines the ICC sets for the Champions Trophy 2025, including those regarding the jersey logo, we will follow,” Saikia was quoted as saying by India Today.

Speaking, Devajit Saikia also denied all the rumours that BCCI will not wear Pakistani imprint beneath the 2025 Champions Trophy for the upcoming tournament. The BCCI secretary said that there is no truth in these rumours and the Indian is going to follow all the rules set by the ICC for the Champions Trophy. The tournament is set to be played in Pakistan and UAE from February 19 to March 9.
“There was never any intention to violate any such guidelines. So, whatever was going on in the media, I have seen it. I don't know where they got that information from. But the BCCI has no reason to violate or ignore any of the guidelines. BCCI will follow the dress code and the logo for the Champions Trophy 2025 as formulated by the ICC," Devajit Saikia said.
