Gujarat Titans fast bowler Mohit Sharma claimed that it was difficult for him to get to sleep the night of May 30's IPL loss to MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Mohit had to defend 13 runs off the final over against CSK, and after giving away just three runs in the first four balls, the 34-year-old pacer failed to defend 10 runs off the last two balls.
However, Ravindra Jadeja hit a six through the air and a four through the fine leg to help the Super Kings win by five wickets. Mohit, who took three wickets, admitted that it has been difficult for him to move on after failing to assist the Titans in successfully defending their championship. The first four deliveries of the last over were bowled wonderfully by Mohit as he nailed the yorkers. The Titans were clearly in the driving seat after those balls. But Ravindra Jadeja had other plans as he hit a six followed by a four to seal the title for CSK.
In an interaction with Indian Express, Mohit said, "I couldn’t sleep. Sochta raha kya alag karta joh match jeet jaate (Kept wondering what I could do differently that we would have won). What if I could have bowled this ball or that ball? It’s not a nice feeling now. Somewhere something is missing but I’m trying to move on."

"I ran and tried to bowl the yorker again. I just wanted to be focused and back myself. Whole IPL I have done that. The ball landed where it shouldn’t have and Jadeja got his bat. I tried, I tried my best," the GT pacer further added.
Apart from the last game, this was a season to remember for Mohit Sharma. After being a net bowler in the last season, he was picked by the Gujarat Titans this year and he proved his worth successfully. Mohit finished among the leading wicket-takers of the tournament and picked up a five-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2. In total, he picked up 27 wickets in 14 matches at a minimum economy of 8.17. This was certainly a comeback to remember for the veteran medium pacer.
