Kevin Durant, the power forward of the Phoenix Suns, has been in the news after reportedly helping his side recruit Bradley Beal on June 18, Father’s Day. Washington Wizards agreed to send the shooting guard to the Western Conference team, pending the deal framework. It has been revealed that the 29-year-old former three-time All-Star decided to join Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to form a new Big 3 at the Phoenix Suns, after waiving his no-trade to form.  

Ever since the news of the trade has come out, the 34-year-old has been a subject of harshest criticism from fans, especially from Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant had left the franchise in 2019, after they blew a 3-1 lead against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.

In response to constant trolling from fans, the former two-time NBA champion has been very active on social media recently, trying to curb down the heat on himself.

But, when a user send out a tweet in support of Kevin Durant, “Leave KD alone he’s having an identity crisis and needs mental health help,” the three-time Olympic gold medallist noticed the kind words and responded back in now a deleted tweet, which read, “I definitely need help”.

In 2018, while playing for Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant had given an interview regarding mental health to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, in which he stated that it’s something that needs to be discussed and talked about more.

“I know it's difficult because it's hard to figure out exactly what somebody's thinking and you have to dive deep into somebody's mind and, I guess, background to help somebody out,” he further added.
