India’s veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has stated that he won’t have any issues regarding bowling with a worn-out ball instead of a shiny new ball in the ODIs, as he is ready to bowl in any situation the team and its management ask him to. In the ODI series against Australia in March this year, Shami and Mohammed Siraj split the new ball in Bumrah's absence. However, it would be intriguing to observe who will be the new ball bowling tandem for India in the match against Pakistan on Saturday now that Jasprit Bumrah is back in the running for the Asia Cup.

"I don't have any hesitancy to bowl with the new ball or the old ball. I don't have an ego like that. All three of us (Bumrah, Shami and Siraj) are bowling very well, so it depends on the management on who will play," Shami said in an interaction with Star Sports ahead of the clash against Pakistan.

"Depends on whether I have the new ball or whether the team requires me at any stage during the match, I am always on," said India's best exponent of swing bowling in current times. Shami went on to add further.

He also stated that the only goal is to give 100%, and the result will come running to us. He emphasized the importance of focusing on and executing the simple plan. With Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna back in the mix for the Men in Blue, the fast bowling lineup looks threatening on any surface and will have a significant advantage over the other teams in the Asia Cup.
