As India have qualified for the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2022 and are slated to play England on 10 November in what will be the second semifinal of the tournament. The two teams have had a contrasting journey to the semifinals. While India dominated the league stage winning four out of five games, England had to toil hard for the semifinal spot.

Nevertheless, all the work done in the league stage is a thing of the past now. Both teams are eyeing that spot in the final and are expected to produce a great game of cricket. Both India and England have got really good players. While England have the likes of Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, India have got Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli. All these four batters have been consistent so far and are expected to be among the runs for their team on the big day.

Indian fans have their hopes pinned on Yadav who has been in prolific form, having piled up 225 runs so far in the tournament and that too at a strike rate of 193.96. Meanwhile, England’s coaching consultant Michael Hussey is hoping that Yadav doesn’t score runs against them when the two teams meet on Thursday. Hussey has said that even though he likes seeing Yadav bat, he is hoping it doesn’t happen against them.

"He's been sensational and has been doing it for a number of years in the IPL. And now to do it consistently at the highest level, it's great to watch. Personally, love watching him bat. Obviously, I hope he doesn't get a big score against England on Thursday (laughs)," Hussey told Sportstar.

Hussey also expressed his excitement for the game saying, “it is going to be a great spectacle”. "India are a fantastic team, and we knew that coming into the tournament. We have to be very close to our best to really challenge them and win the match. And maybe, it'll just be one or two little things. Whether they go for us or they go against us could be the difference between winning and losing the match," added Hussey.

"It's going to be a great spectacle - two fantastic teams and they'll both be going as hard as they possibly can. It's the World Cup semifinal, and that prize to make it to the final at the MCG is pretty motivating. So, it should be it should be a great contest."
