On the auspicious occasion of Father’s Day, which is celebrated on the third Sunday of June, Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, got a beautiful hand-written note for him by his daughter Vamika. Anushka Sharma, the Bollywood actress and the wife of Virat Kohli, shared the picture of the card from Vamika to Virat in a post on her official Instagram account along with a picture of her father, a retired Colonel Ajay Sharma, honouring him on Father’s Day as well.

While Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have kept the lives of both their children, daughter Vamika and son Akaay private, they occasionally do share the glimpses of how the kids are growing and evolving in the early stages of their lives. The hand-written note from Vamika to Virat on Father’s Day read, “He looks like my brother. He is funny. He tickles me. I play make up with him. I love him so much and he loves me this much (arms wide). Happy Father’s Day,” followed by her name and heart.

In the same post on Instagram, Anushka Sharma also took the time to share her father’s candid picture, wherein he could be seen enjoying music with a big grin on his face, while the background was bathed in pink and looked quite cheerful as well. She captioned the post, “To the first man I ever loved—and the first man our daughter did …. Happy Father’s Day to all the beautiful fathers everywhere.”

It was just a couple of weeks ago when Virat Kohli won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title for the first-time in his career with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), capping off an amazing 2025 season in the franchise T20 league. During the IPL campaign, the 36-year-old also announced his retirement from Test cricket, putting down the curtain on one of the greatest careers in the longest format of the game.
