UFC legend Conor McGregor has expressed his admiration for India and Indians on several occasions. From anticipating an Indian to make a mark in UFC to hailing the South Asian country for inventing chess and Yoga, The Notorious has openly shown his deep love and respect for India. In a fresh development, the former two-division UFC world champion once again conveyed his love for India by writing, "I love India" on Twitter.

Notably, McGregor's tweet came on the back of one tweet by a user (@iamadityapanda) who shared a picture of an artwork from Mumbai where a wall has been painted with an image of UFC legend Conor McGregor. "Hidden treasures in the heart of Mumbai! A mural dedicated to the legend, Conor McGregor. #mumbai #art #ConorMcGregor #MMA #boxing #UFC #sports. India Love you," tweeted the user.

The tweet caught the attention of a UFC legend as he commented on the post by expressing his love for the country.

Earlier, McGregor congratulated Indian fighter Ritu Phogat after she defeated Jenelyn Olsim of the Philippines in the semi-final of the Atomweight (52.2kg) Grand Prix. He wrote, "Rooting for the Indians to make a stamp in this game soon! Quite very possibly the most respectful and caring nationality I’ve ever met in my life, the Indians. Let’s go to India," wrote Conor McGregor.

In one of his tweets, the legendary fighter also confirmed that he will soon visit India to study Yoga and learn chess. "What a place! I may be somewhat Indian. In my soul, I am Indian. Proper Twelve to India! I’m going to India to study Yoga. To gain a deeper understanding of chess. And to drink Proper Whiskey at breakfast! India, baby!! We did it!" he tweeted last year.
