Delhi Capitals won their third match in the ongoing Indian premier League after suffering six losses. The David Warner-led side beat the defending champions at latter’s home in Narendra Modi Stadium by five runs to seal the match, courtesy DC bowlers restricted bowling.

 

After this loss, GT skipper Hardik Pandya was called to have a chat with the commentators after ending on the losing side. While having a conversation there was moment when Hardik took complete responsibility  of his side’s loss in this match against DC. “….full ownership for my side where I could not finish the game. I should’ve,” he said.

 

“As I said, batters and particularly myself did not finish and we disappointed him,” he further added. During the post-match interaction, Hardik also apologised to Mohammed Shami for ending on the losing side. “I feel sorry for him. If you bowl like that, then you get the team on 129, I think batters disappointed,” he said.

 

Despite this loss, Gujarat Titans continue to dominate the points table as they sit at the top with six wins and three losses from their nine games so far. The Hardik Pandya-led side will next face Rajasthan Royals on May at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
