Days after Indian Olympic Association treasurer and UP Olympic Association secretary, A nandeshwar Pandey, came under scrutiny after his pictures in compromising positions with multiple women was floated around, the high-placed officer has claimed that he would kill himself if anyone athlete registers a complaint against him.
Ever since the pictures went viral on social media, the Indian Olympic Association treasurer has been facing lot flak and Lucknow Regional Sports Officer Ajay Sethi has sought explanation from Pandey. A complaint against him has also been filed in the Chief Minister's portal and a copy of the same complaint letter has been sent to the District Magistrate.
"Anandeshwar Pandey is staying in the KD Sigh Babu Stadium in Lucknow, besides which there is a girls' hostel. The viral picture showing him in a compromising position are brining a bad name to Uttar Pradesh," read the letter. Responding to the complaint against him, Pandey told The Bridge that he has filed a complaint with the Lucknow Police Cyber Cell on Tuesday and claimed that it is a political conspiracy against him.
"Somebody out there is trying to spoil my professional career by maligning my personal life. I am confident that its a political conspiracy and some highly placed officials are after me," Pandey said.
Pandey further asserted that he has pursued an honest and clean professional life throughout his life and if any athletes ever complaints against him he will kill himself. "I will kill myself. I have been in sports since the 1970s, there has never been any such incident," he added. Pandey further claimed that that shocking development must be linked with the upcoming IOA elections where he is set to contest.
Notably, Pandey is also the Chairman of the Coordination Committee for the National Games set to be held next month. "Some faction is trying to malign my name, these photos had surfaced before as well. The law will take its course now. We shall see who turns out to be the guilty party," he concluded.
