Virat Kohli is undoubtedly going through a darkest phase of his cricketing career. His poor form with the bat has been extended for more than 2 years and a section of cricket fraternity has started raising fingers on his inclusion in the squad. Amidst heavy criticism, Kohli has also got some backing from players like Babar Azam, Kevin Pietersen and Shoaib Akhtar.

In a fresh development, former Indian captain and batting legend Sunil Gavaskar has offered his time to sort out Virat's current issues with his batting. The legendary batter feels he can help the out-of-form batter by giving him valuable advice. "I would only need 20 minutes with him, I would be able to tell him the things he might need to do. It might help him, I am not saying that it will help him but it could, particularly with regards to that off-stump line," Gavaskar told India Today.

While suggesting some words of wisdom to Virat Kohli, Sunil Gavaskar said that Kohli needs to cope up with the anxiety to play every delivery, and evaluate the balls before making a judgement. "It goes back to the fact that his first mistake turn out to be his last. You look to play at deliveries that you otherwise won't. But he has gotten out to good deliveries as well on this particular tour," he said.

Speaking of Virat Kohli, he could only manage to score 76 runs from six innings across formats on the England soil. The Indian batter has been rested from the West Indies tour after he himself requested for it. The batter will now resume national duties during Asia Cup.
