ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Overview

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has ended successfully with India lifting their third title by defeating New Zealand in the final in Dubai. The tournament was coming back after eight years and was successfully concluded by the ICC from February 19 to March 9. In the final clash, India faced New Zealand at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 9 where the Black Caps decided to bat first after winning the toss. With the help of Daryl Mitchell’s 63(101) runs and Michael Bracewell’s 53*(40) runs, New Zealand posted 251/7 on board in their 50 overs.

Chasing the winning target, skipper Rohit Sharma led from that front and played a captain’s knock of 76(83) runs. However the situation got tricky after New Zealand bowlers went on to take big wickets in the middle overs. After that, Shreyas Iyer scored a crucial 48(62) runs while KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 34*(33) runs as India chase the winning target in 49 overs and lifted their third Champions Trophy title.
