The highly-anticipated ICC Men's T20 World Cup is starting from October 22 and the teams are releasing updates on their players availability status. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its 15-member squad for the prestigious tournament on Wednesday.

Bangladesh will begin its ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign on October 24 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, however, their opponent will be determined after the conclusion of the first round.

After veteran Mushfiqur Rahim announced his retirement for T20I cricket, Liton Das is set to replace him as the Bangladesh wicketkeeper for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Apart from the 15 players, BCB has included bowlers Shoriful Islam, Rishad Hossain, and all-rounder Mahedi Hasan and batter Soumya Sarkar as stand by players.

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022, Bangladesh will play a tri-nation T20I series in New Zealand with Pakistan being the third team.
