All-rounders: Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar
Shivam Dube keeps his place in the Indian T20I setup after making his big return to the national team in 2023 on the back of a stellar IPL season at the title-winning Chennai Super Kings under the leadership of MS Dhoni. After suffering an injury at the most inopportune time in his international career, Axar Patel had to miss out on playing the ODI World Cup 2023 for India at home, but now, upon regaining full fitness, he has been drafted into the national team straight away in the shortest format.
Due to an unfortunate set of injuries, Washington Sundar hasn’t played much cricket for India in 2023, but the Asian Games gold medal winning performance, a month or so ago. So, the upcoming T20I series against Australia could be the kick-start to a consistent run of games for him at the international level.
