Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has spoken about India's performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021. While he was very vocal when Pakistan had managed to break the India jinx and register their first win over India ever in a World Cup match. After the Men in Blue succumbed to their second straight defeat in the tournament against New Zealand, he has given a measured response. Amir went on to call India the best team in the world.

He added that while they were better than what the performances reflect, the side is going through a bad phase. However, he also said that the Indian fans should not be abused and neither should their families bear the brunt of the defeat. He maintained that it is just a game of cricket at the end of the day.

"I still believe India is a best team its just a matter of having good time or bad time but abusing player's and their family is such a shame don't forget end of the day it's just a game of cricket," he tweeted.

"Before that me and Shoaib Akhtar, we both work for media, I support my team, he supports his team which is fair enough. He praises his team, I praise mine. Banter between me and him has been going on for many years," Bhajji said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

"In that another person came in between, Mohammad Amir. I want to know who he is. Me and Shoaib have a very old friendship, we have played against each other so many times, we know each other for many years, we have done shows together too. But between all this, Amir poked his nose," Harbhajan added.

The Turbanator also said there was no point talking to him and he should not have responded to Amir as he will only get dirty by getting into mud.

"He is a disgrace. He put a black spot on world cricket which no one can ever forget," the 41-year-old said.
