The T20 world champions, Team India will resume their international cricketing calendar from January 22 as they take on England in a white-ball series. The Men in Blue will host the Three Lions in a five-match T20I series, followed by three T20Is ahead of the much-anticipated ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
But ahead of the white-ball series, reports have revealed that the Indian cricket team will hold a special three-day camp in Kolkata. Sources close to the developments have informed that the team will be assembling in Kolkata on January 18, and will be participating in a three-day camp ahead of the series opener, scheduled on January 22.
Team India to begin three-day camp in Kolkata on Saturday, January 18
Ahead of the series opener at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, along Head Coach Gautam Gambhir will overlook the training camp. It is to be noted that under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India has enjoyed enormous success, winning the series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa.
Coming to the series, while the first T20I will be played at the Eden Gardens, the two teams will then travel to Chennai for the second T20I, scheduled for January 25. The third T20I will be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on January 28, followed by a match each in Pune (January 31) and Mumbai (February 2). The sides will then lock horns in a three-match ODI series, starting from February 6 onwards at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
