After the three days of the Manchester Test, England are in complete control as they have taken a 186-run lead in the first innings. Riding on Joe Root’s knock of 150 off 248, the English team have erected a total of 544/7 in 135 overs, thus far. Captain Ben Stokes also displayed courage with his bat as he has amassed unbeaten 77 off 134 so far. On the fourth day, the hosts will look to accumulate some more runs to extend their lead over the visitors. Stokes, along with Liam Dawson, can cause a headache to Team India bowlers on the fourth day. Dawson has also looked in fine touch with his unbeaten 21 off 52.

India will look to bundle out the English side as soon as possible to keep their chances of winning this game alive. However, it’s an uphill task for Shubman Gill’s team but the Indian supporters will expect some courage from their side in the next couple of days. When it came to bowling, Jasprit Bumrah also hasn’t been effective for India in this innings. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar are the only bowlers who have succeeded in giving a tough time to the home team.
