Inter Miami have reportedly relinquished their option to hold talks with Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne to sign him after his current contract with the English club runs out in the summer. It is important to note that Inter Miami had Kevin De Bruyne on their “discovery list”, which means that they only had the option in the Major League Soccer (MLS) to negotiate a deal with him in the summer.
Notably, as per the report published in BBC Sport, Inter Miami had the chance to make their mind up in regards to holding talks with Kevin De Bruyne until mid-July, but they have decided to not pursue the Belgian international. With that, Chicago Fire are going to have a great chance to sign the 33-year-old if he decides to move to the MLS in the summer.

It means that Kevin De Bruyne won’t be a part of Inter Miami, which would have led him to playing for Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets. Now, Chicago Fire have the option to speak with the Belgian about signing him on a contract first and foremost in the MLS, and the player’s representatives are expected to meet the club officials very soon.
Moreover, ahead of his Manchester City departure, Kevin De Bruyne had spoken about how he felt surprised not to be offered a new contract by the English club. During his illustrious career with Manchester City, he managed to lift 16 trophies, including six Premier League and one UEFA Champions League title.
