Punjab Kings batting first posted a very low total of just 123/9 and once again, Punjab batting order totally collapsed, similar to how Punjab played against CSK and SRH earlier in the season. Only Chris Jordan played a good knock of 30 runs in the end, which helped them to get to a respectable total. While chasing, KKR initially struggled and it looked like it will be a close game as they lost 3 wickets for 17 runs. But a sensible partnership from Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi ensured KKR won the game comfortably by a margin of 5 wickets.
