It hasn't been an ideal start to the season for Chennai Super Kings. The defending champions have lost their first two matches of the season for the first time and things do not seem to be improving in their camp. In a huge blow to the four-time IPL winners, it is now being reported that only Chris Jordan has been hospitalised with a tonsil infection but their other overseas pacer Adam Milne has also suffered an injury.

The news comes after their preferred India bowler Deepak Chahar has already been ruled out for the first few matches following an injury he picked up while playing for India. The injury has left the Men in Yellow in a spot of bother as they seem to be struggling to find an experienced pacer in their starting XI.

In an absence of a proven, experienced campaigner Chennai would be forced to continue to back youngsters Tushar Deshpande and Mukesh Chowdhury who could have a huge test ahead of them as this has been a high-scoring tournament in general.

It remains to be seen how new captain Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni react to the situation and come out a strategy with whatever resources they have available at their disposal. CSK next's assignment will be against Punjab Kings on April 3 at the Brabourne Stadium.

While Chennai are yet to taste a win, Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab have won a game and lost the other in their two matches.
