RCB defeated LSG with the help of sensational batting performance from Rajat Patidar and fantabulous bowling from Harshal Patel as well. Initially LSG winning the toss invited RCB to bat first and they posted a mammoth total of 207/4 with Patidar smashing unbeaten 112. Dinesh Karthik also gave brilliant finish to the innings while among LSG bowlers only Mohsin Khan looked effective with the ball.
LSG in the chase despite losing Quinton de Kock early got a solid foundation with the help of KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda's partnership but unfortunately they couldn't cross that winning line and fell short by 14 runs. Harshal Patel's 1/25 proved to be decisive in changing the game result while Hazlewood picked 3 wickets. Wanindu Hasaranga was live wire on field and saved many boundaries for his team with his brilliant fielding.
